Die in Niederösterreich geborene Sopranistin beendete im Juni 2005 ihr Operngesangsstudium an der Wiener Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst (Klasse Helena Lazarska, Lied und Oratorium Klasse Edith Mathis) mit Auszeichnung, nachdem sie zuvor ein Theaterwissenschaftsstudium, eine Musicalausbildung und eine private Schauspielausbildung mit abschließenden Bühnereifeprüfungen (ebenso mit Auszeichnung) absolviert hatte. Für ihre außergewöhnlichen Leistungen während des Gesangsstudiums wurde ihr der Würdigungspreis der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst verliehen.
Seit ihrem 19. Lebensjahr steht Daniela Fally auf der Bühne, zu Anfangs als Schauspielerin, später als Musicaldarstellerin und schließlich als Opernsängerin. Für die Interpretation der Adele wurde der Künstlerin im Juni 2006 die Eberhard-Waechter-Gesangsmedaille verliehen.

Bereits 2006 feierte Daniela Fally ihren international umjubelten Einstand an der Wiener Staatsoper als Fiakermilli in Richard Strauss Arabella unter Franz Welser Möst (DVD erhältlich), seit der Saison 2009/10 gehört sie dem Ensemble der Wiener Staatsoper an, wo sie in Folge u. a. als Zerbinetta (Ariadne), Sophie (Rosenkavalier), Oscar (Ballo in maschera), Rosina (Barbiere di Siviglia), italienische Sängerin (Capriccio), Sophie (Werther) und als Adele (Fledermaus) zu erleben war. Davor war sie vier Jahre lang Ensemblemitglied der Volksoper Wien (2005-2009) und konnte sich ebendort ein umfangreiches Repertoire quer durch alle Genres erarbeiten.

Gastengagements führten Daniela Fally u. a. zu den Salzburger Festspielen (Eröffnung des ersten Salzburger Festspielballs 2012, Blonde 2013), den Bregenzer Festspielen (Königin der Nacht), den Opernfestspielen München (Zerbinetta 2011 und 2013), an die Bayrische Staatsoper München (Adele, Zerbinetta), die Staatsoper Hamburg (Fiakermilli, Marie/Fille du Régiment 2012 und 2013, Zerbinetta), die Semperoper Dresden (Blonde, Sophie/Rosenkavalier unter Christian Thielemann 2012 und 2013), an die Opernhäuser in Zürich (Adele), Düsseldorf (Adele), Liège (Zerbinetta), und Strassburg (Blonde, Sophie/Rosenkavalier), Köln (Zerbinetta), zu den Seefestspielen Mörbisch (Adele, DVD erhältlich), sowie zu Beginn ihrer Karriere an die Stadttheater Baden und Klagenfurt.
Konzerte und Liederabende brachten sie über mehrere Jahre hinweg zum Grafenegg Festival, dem Lucerne Festival (Harnoncourt), in den Musikverein und das Konzerthaus Wien, den Musikverein Graz, an die Deutsche Oper Berlin (AIDS- Gala, CD erhältlich), die Alte Oper Frankfurt, den Grazer Stefaniensaal, die Arena Salzburg, den Großen Kongresssaal Innsbruck, in die Hamburger Musikhalle, das Münchener Prinzregententheater, das Theater Bonn, sowie in die Schweiz, nach Japan, China und Dubai.

Daniela Fally arbeitete mit namhaften Dirigenten wie Adam Fischer, Asher Fisch, Fabio Luisi, Leopold Hager, Julia Jones, Philippe Jordan, Simone Young, Ulf Schirmer, Peter Schneider, Nicolaus Harnoncourt, Bertrand de Billy, Christoph Eschenbach, Franz Welser-Möst und Christian Thielemann.

Sie verfügt über ein großes Konzert- und Liederrepertoire, zu ihren wichtigsten Opernpartien zählen die Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail),Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Marie (La fille du régiment), Amina (Sonnambula), Norina (Don Pasquale), Olympia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Fiakermilli (Arabella), Oscar (Ballo in Maschera), Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) und die Rolle der Adele (Die Fledermaus).

Zuletzt debütierte sie an der Lyric Opera Chicago (Adele), an der Opéra Bastille in Paris (Zerbinetta) sowie bei den Salzburger Osterfestspielen unter Christian Thielemann (Fiakermilli). Sie war als Olympia an der Seite von Neil Shicoff in Contes d’Hoffmann, und als Zerbinetta sowie mit großem Erfolg als Sonnambula an der Seite von Juan Diego Florez an der Wiener Staatsoper zu erleben.

2017 feierte sie einen sehr grossen Erfolg als Adele in der Premiere der „Fledermaus“ an der Mailänder Scala. 2018 sang sie unter hymnischen Kritiken die Premiere einer Ariadne auf Naxos unter Maestro Thielemann an der Dresner Semperoper, trat im Pausenfilm des Neujahrskonzertes der Wiener Philharmoniker auf, und auch in Cleveland war sie Anfang 2019 hoch erfolgreich als Zerbinetta in einer weiteren Ariadne-Premiere unter Franz Welser-Möst zu erleben. Im Juni 2019 kehrte sie an die Mailänder Scala zurück, ebenso in einer Neuproduktion einer Ariadne auf Naxos unter Franz Welser-Möst.

In der aktuellen Saison an der Wiener Staatsoper ist sie u.a. als Hüter der Schwelle des Tempels in Frau ohne Schatten unter Christian Thielemann, als Sophie in Werther, als Zerlina in Don Giovanni, als Clorinda in der Cenerentola, Fiakermilli in Arabella und als Adele in der Fledermaus zu erleben. Weiters wird sie bei den „Internationalen Maifestspielen Wiesbaden“ an der Seite von Anja Harteros als Sophie im Rosenkavalier singen

She is the perfect combination of a singing actress or an acting singer. She was a dancer, an actress, a journalist and a musical theatre performer before she became an opera singer, and her goal for opera was always to combine the various genre skills to make opera as exciting, real and touching as possible.

Since 2006 she was continiously singing at Vienna State Opera (10 years as a member of the soloist ensemble) and she has constantly been invited as a guest to many of the most renown opera houses worldwide. She sang – mostly repeatedly – at La Scala Milan, the Semperoper Dresden, the Lyric Opera Chicago, the Bavarian State Opera Munich, at the Opéra National in Paris (Bastille), the Salzburg Summer and Easter Festival and the Bregenz and Mörbisch Festival, the opera festival Munich, the International „Maifestspiele Wiesbaden“, the State Opera Hamburg, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Theater an der Wien, the Kammeroper Vienna, the Volksoper Vienna, in Zürich, Düsseldorf, Strassburg, Toulon, Darmstadt, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Liège, Liepaja and many opera houses more. Concerts and oprea productions also braught her to Japan, Dubai, China, Kasachstan and Russia.

She is equally very much at home at the concert stage and collaborated with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Munich Philharmonic, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Concentus Musicus Vienna, with various Ensembles of the Vienna Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the BR-Orchestra, the RSO Vienna, the Münchener Rundfunkorchester, the Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Johann Strauss Orchester, the Symphony Nova Scotia (Canada) and many more.

She performed repeatedly in Vienna Musikverein and Vienna Concert House, furtheremore at the Lucerne Festival, the Musikverein Graz and Klagenfurt, the Arena Salzburg, the Hamburg Musikhalle, the Kongress Innsbruck and many more. Since 7 years she has been invited repeatedly to the Grafenegg Music Festival.

She collaborated intensely with Christian Thielemann and her mentor Franz Welser-Möst, furthermore with Simone Young, Adam Fischer, Cornelius Meister, Jesus Lopez Cobos, Leopold Hager, Ulf Schirmer, Asher Fisch, Kirill Petrenko, Kent Nagano, Fabio Luisi, Nicolaus Harnoncourt, Evelino Pidò, Frédéric Chaslin, Marco Armiliato, Philippe Jordan, Peter Schneider, Bertrand de Billy, Christoph Eschenbach, Andrès Orozco-Estrada, Guillermo Garcia Calvo, Julia Jones, Speranza Scapucci and many many more.

In her 25 years of stage career – she first started as an actress and musical theater performer, then later as an opera singer – she sang more than 750 opera performances in 60 different roles in 64 different productions at 60 different opera houses and festivals. Until now she opened 46 new productions internationally. Numerous concerts and Lied recitals complement her activities.

Her repertoire includes roles through all the centuries, styles (even chanson and pop songs) from opera, operetta, Musical,  „Old music“ and the contemporary stage works of today, as well as numerous Lieder, Missas, Symphonies and over 15 Oratorios.

Only in Vienna State opera house she sang more than 200 performances in 26 different roles, at Vienna Volksoper more than 130 performances in 21 different roles.

She was sheduled to open the Vienna Opera Ball in 2018. She was part of the New Years Concert 2018 prforming in the famous intermission program, broadcast to 92 countries, watched by over 50 million viewers worldwide.

Furthermore she was and is writing for various magazines and newspapers, had her highly acclaimed debut as a stage director and is a well known host and guest of Austrian TV Shows, and TV jury member.

In May 2021 she received the title “Österreichische Kammersängerin” and since October 1st 2021 she became a professor at MDW – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Department of vocal studies and music theatre).

From 2019 till 2021 she was teaching at the „Richard Wagner Conservatory Vienna“ and as a vocal coach she collaborates regularly with the Vienna State Opera „Academy for young singers“.

She is often invited to give masterclasses at various occasions and just adores workling with young singers and performers.

She herself studied with Prof. Helena Lazarska (voice, opera) and Prof. Edith Mathis (Lied and Oratorio), she studied musical theatre performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and also journalism, musical and theatrical sciences and publicity and communication sciences at the University Vienna, and finished her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with distinction. She was awarded the „Würdigungspreis“ (price of honor) of the University of Music and Performing Arts for her extraordinary achievements during her study time.

Soon after having started her career she was awarded the „Eberhard-Wächter-Medaille“ (an Austrian medal of honor for extraordinary achievements in a stage role) for her interpretation of Adele in „Die Fledermaus“ at Vienna Opera houses, the role that she sang until now around 100 times in 10 different productions all around the world including Vienna, Milan and Chicago. She is also very famous for her interpretation of Zerbinetta in „Ariadne auf Naxos“ (around 80 performances in 14 different productions), recently 2019 at Semperoper Dresden under the baton of Christian Thielemann and with Franz Welser-Möst and his Cleveland Orchestra and as well at Vienna State Opera and La Scala Milan.
